John Bethune is Vice President, Content & Data, for Canon Communications LLC, publisher of Medical Device Link, Medical Device & Diagnostic Industry, Medical Product Manufacturing News, Pharmaceutical and Medical Packaging News, IVD Technology, and other trade journals. Until 1998, he was also editor of Medical Device & Diagnostic Industry, the most widely circulated trade publication for the medical device industry. He was previously the editor of Medical Product Manufacturing News.
Before joining Canon Communications in 1988, John was editor of two clinical trade journals, Dialysis & Transplantation and Nutritional Support Services.
After earning his BA in English from Reed College, in Portland, OR, John entered graduate school in English at Cornell University, where he earned a PhD degree in 1983.
He also attended the University of Southern California, where he became a die-hard USC football fan.
