(San Antonio, TX) has optimized its internal organizational structure and launched stand-alone development services to better serve customers in the pharmaceutical, consumer healthcare, and biotech markets. The new organizational strategy was implemented at DPT’s San Antonio, TX, and Lakewood, NJ, operations.
Rexam Healthcare Flexibles (Mundelein, IL) has built a suite of pharmaceutical packaging services around its Black Box virtual modeling technology. To be known as Rexam Pharma Services, the blister packaging development group will focus on Black Box software modeling and thermoform prediction, production and testing of trial materials, and more efficient production of packed products.
Cognex Corp. (Natick, MA) has been certified as an authorized provider by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET). As a result, students that successfully complete the classroom courses, live and recorded on-line classes, and computer-based tutorials developed and delivered by Cognex Educational Services can be awarded IACET continuing education units.
West Pharmaceutical Services (Lionville, PA) will be adding Westar RS processing capabilities to its facilities in Le Nouvion, France; Eschweiler, Germany; and Jurong, Singapore. These sites will be registered with FDA and supported by a DMF.
Baxter Healthcare Corp. (Deerfield, IL) is expanding its Baxter Pharmaceutical Solutions LLC manufacturing facility located in Bloomington, IN, to enhance its parenteral contract manufacturing services for pharmaceutical and biotech companies. The 120,000-sq-ft expansion will contain additional syringe-filling and vial-filling lines, a lyophilization suite, a new research lab, and additional laboratories and administrative offices.
The Association of Postconsumer Plastic Recyclers (APR) has awarded
Avery Dennison (Pasadena, CA) its Partners For Change award in recognition of
the company’s participation in, and testing of its Fasson S2001 label adhesive
product through the APR Champions For Change program. The award recognizes
companies that make a significant contribution toward answering questions raised
about the recyclability of bottles or bottle variants.
