Domino Amjet Inc. (Gurnee, IL) and Barcode Technology Inc. (BTI) are
forming an alliance to provide drug manufacturers with an in-line laser system
that can print and verify RSS composites, with human readables, at production
line speeds. The system will combine Domino’s DSL1 laser with BTI’s RSS bar
code software, providing precise, readable, microcodes as small as 0.55 mm high.
The alliance will help drug companies code their products with variable
information, ensuring that hospitals have the machine-readable labeling date
they require to reduce medication errors.
