Manufacturers are improving on the existing features of their bags and pouches while continuing to develop new ones. For example, Tolas now offers transfer technology bags. These shaped bags sometimes have ports and are used for the transfer of parenteral components to barrier isolators and automated filling lines.
"These bags are manufactured in our ultra-clean controlled environment: a segregated manufacturing area in which air filtration, air distribution, materials, and operating procedures are regulated to control airborne particle concentrations," says Denise DiLissio, marketing team leader of Tolas.
"The room, which includes an adjacent gowning area and a separate area for incoming raw materials, helps ensure the integrity of Tolas' products," she says.
